What should I do after I accept my offer?

After you have accepted our offer of admission via Review and Change at the OUAC website, you can confirm your acceptance by exiting the OUAC site and then logging back in. If you have completed the steps properly, the acceptance should be visible. Your acceptance of our offer will then be forwarded automatically to us.

Starting around the middle to end of May, Enrolment Services will be sending out Registration Handbooks to new students who have accepted our offer of admission.

When do I have to respond to my offer of admission?

The response deadline for your offer of admission is indicated in your offer letter. For students currently enrolled in an Ontario secondary school, the deadline is 4:30 p.m. EST on June 1, 2015. If you applied through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre, your response must be received by the above date at the OUAC at

This is also the Residence Application Deadline date. The completed application and deposit must be received no later than 4:30 p.m. EST on June 1, 2015.

International students who applied directly to the University of Guelph must forward their response to Admission Services, UC Level 3, University of Guelph, 50 Stone Road East, Guelph, Ontario, Canada, N1G 2W1 by the deadline indicated in the offer letter.

The response deadline date for transfer students is usually three weeks from the offer date and is spelled out in your offer letter.

If you do not respond by the deadline, the University cannot guarantee that your space will be held. The University cannot be held responsible for complications due to mail or courier delivery delays.

Where can I find the Registration Handbook?

Students will receive a hard-copy edition of the Registration Handbook for New Students in the mail sometime during the months of May, June, July, or later depending on when they accept their offer. The Handbook is updated every year.

An online version of the Registration Handbook is also available.

Before using the online version of the Handbook, be sure to check that you are using the one created for your specific entry date!
